Somerset CPAs, Indianapolis, promoted to senior manager: Shaun Heinzelman and Jakob Wright on the tax team; Tamera Jones on the managed accounting solutions team; Glennon Molitor on the assurance team; and Laura Wallett on the health care and managed accounting solutions team.

The Indiana CPA Society launched a new, free member type for high school students seeking to find out more about the profession as part of a three-step strategy to build talent pipelines in high school which also includes high school presentations and building access and diversity with its INCPAS Scholars Program.

The Kansas Society of CPAs elected its 2021-22 officers, directors and trustees, appointing: Amber Goering, owner, Goering & Granatino, as chair of the board; Joe Ronnebaum, PwC, as vice chair; and Norman Hope, McPherson College, as secretary/treasurer. KSCPA also elected to three-year terms on the board of directors: Kristin Cargin, Deloitte & Touche; Jolanda Hamilton, Skyward Bound Solutions; Colin Lawter, Koch Industries; Becky Shaw, BT&C.; and Colby Woods, Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk, & Loyd. Additionally, the KSPCA Educational Foundation board of trustees appointed Rachel Green as chair of the foundation board. Also elected to the 2020-21 executive committee are: vice chair Emily Lawrence, Allen, Gibbs & Houlik; and secretary/treasurer Misty Schartz, Fort Hays State University.
