Cloud solutions company Right Networks announced the expansion of its leadership team, reflecting recent growth. Jonathan Lupa, formerly of Thomson Reuters, will be the company’s chief technology officer, while business and finance veteran Thomas LeSaffre was named the new vice president of strategy and corporate development. Lupa will govern the development of the entire cloud and software product business lines and the emerging technologies teams, while LeSaffre will assess new product and market opportunities, oversee mergers and acquisitions, and ensure operating plans align with the company’s overarching business strategy.

EZ Lease touts new free option

Lease accounting solutions provider EZLease released a free option for both private and government organizations navigating the Financial Accounting Standards Board's lease standard. The free pricing tier, called the Essential plan, is available for organizations with up to nine leases. It provides automated lease validation and classification; how-to videos and support articles; self-service bulk import; asset contract tracking; transition accounting; export of ERP-ready data; a lease subledger with configurable account mapping; and access for two users through a secure cloud application.

Payoneer adds 1042 support

Digital commerce platform Payoneer now has support for IRS Form 1042, "Annual Withholding Tax Return for U.S. Source Income of Foreign Persons." Users will be able to collect tax entity information for content creators, calculate withholding rates using tax entity information, and fill out Forms 1042 for the IRS.

BigTime Software acquires Projector PSA

Accounting solutions provider BigTime Software has acquired professional service automation software firm Projector PSA, shortly after receiving a $100 million strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners. Combined, the two companies will serve over 2,700 companies and track $10 billion of billable time a year; this will be done through a cloud-based operating platform focused on practice management. 

AAM launches new website

The Association for Accounting Marketing has launched a new website. It sports new navigation options; accessibility options in accord with AAM’s DEI and accessibility commitment; enhanced resources like a searchable job bank; an affiliate directory and development with search engine optimization strategies in mind.

Summit Hosting names new CEO, board chair

Summit Hosting, a provider of virtual servers and cloud-based QuickBooks hosting and Sage hosting, announced a new CEO and board chair. Former CEO Stanley Kania has become chairman of the board, and Warren Patterson, former COO, has been named as CEO.
