"As we move forward together, we will begin the next chapter as the home for growth professionals in the accounting industry," Clark said in a statement. "While the pandemic has been challenging, it made us think creatively about how to meet the needs of our members — how to transition to more virtual offerings, offer new engagement and networking opportunities, and most importantly, how to listen to what members need."

Clark also pledged to continue AAM's five-year membership engagement initiative, dubbed Vision 2025.

"This strategy has already begun in some real and tangible ways, such as approving the redesign of a new website, offering new training courses, creating a platform for on-demand learning and offering members diversity, equity and inclusion resources," added Clark in a statement. "One of the most important roles I can play as AAM’s new executive director is to listen to this community in developing new programs and services to grow the organization as well as develop and manage relationships with our strategic partners and allied organizations."
