Arxis Technology Forms Cloud Services Division

Technology consultancy Arxis Technology has formed Arxis Cloud Solutions, a new division focused on implementation of its SaaS product offerings and education about them.

Arxis, a long-time Sage North America Partner, has over the past year or so chosen to also represent various cloud accounting and business process products, including SAP ByDesign, SugarCRM, Adaptive Planning, and most recently Intacct, to serve its clients’ growing demands for such solutions.  The new division officially places these products “under one roof,” and signifies the firm’s commitment to the cloud, according to Arxis co-founder and principal David Cieslak.

“We really wanted to set the focus and make certain our message is deliberate with clients and prospects that cloud is not just one more thing we do,” he said. “It’s a big portion of the organization and a key part of who we are. This group will focus on all things cloud. It will be an educational resource and align the cloud products we work with, so folks who want to know more about cloud offerings can do so without simply looking at a Web site.”

Cieslak, a frequent speaker at accounting and technology industry and organization events, claims that he plans to make discussions of cloud offerings and benefits for firms and clients a larger part of his presentations.

“The most significant portion of our business is still corporate clients, but more CPAs are asking about [SaaS and cloud], and I think we have the right tools to offer,” he said. “With the presentations I’m doing this year, as opposed to just being the IT security and gadget guy, it will be about the cloud and how to make it a reality in your practice, for your clients, and working smarter with clients and yourself.”

In addition, Cieslak noted that business for his on-premises products are still significant, because “right now, not every client is going to be good fit for what’s available in every cloud offering.”

Arxis ranked 66th in Accounting Today’s 2011 VAR 100 report, and also represents Sage Accpac ERP, Sage MAS 90, 200 and 500.
