Indiana-based Top 75 Firm Blue & Co. has elected Kurt Beier as its next managing director.
Beier will take the helm on Jan. 1, 2027, succeeding Brad Shaw, who has led the firm since 2015, and will continue with Blue as a director.
After joining Blue in 2003, Beier became a director in 2016, and since 2018 has been in charge of the firm's Carmel office, where he leads the local manufacturing and distribution niche teams. He graduated from Butler University.
"I am honored by the trust the directors have placed in me, and I am grateful to Brad for his leadership and mentorship," he said in a statement Tuesday. "My focus will be on investing in our people, delivering an exceptional client experience, and growing in ways that make Blue stronger for the next generation of leaders. Beier's election came after a two-year succession planning process.

Blue & Co. ranked No. 57 on Accounting Today's Top 100 Firms list, with $153 million in revenue, 66 directors, 17 offices and over 600 employees.
When Shaw took the helm in 2015, the firm reported $67 million in revenue, 33 directors, 250 employees and nine offices.
