Audit Organization Elects Officers

The Institute of Internal Auditors has appointed Gerald D. Cox as chairman of the board and elected a slate of other board members.Cox heads the internal audit partnership at South West Audit Partnership in Yeovil, U.K. Joining him on the board is Patricia K. Miller, a partner at Deloitte & Touche in Pleasant Hill, Calif., who was elected as senior vice chairwoman.

Winning re-election as vice chairman of professional development is Warren E. Malmquist, vice president of internal audit and ethics at Coors Brewing in Golden, Colo. Guenther Meggeneder, a chief audit executive at Agrarmarkt in Vienna, Austria, also won re-election, as vice chairman of professional practices.

Rob Newsome, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sunninghill, South Africa, has been named vice chairman of professional services. Roderick M. Winters, a general auditor at Microsoft, was re-elected as vice chairman of research. Anne M. Mercer, vice president of internal audit at Universal American Financial in Lake Mary, Fla., was elected treasurer, and Naohiro Mouri, managing director of JP Morgan in Tokyo, won election as secretary of the board.
