Axentis taps Sexton as Chairman, CEO

Compliance software provider Axentis has named Ken Sexton as its chairman and chief executive.

Sexton replaces Ted Frank, who co-founded the company in 1999, as CEO. While he will relinquish the chief executive post, Frank remains as president, overseeing day-to-day operations.

In his new role, Sexton, who had been a member of the Axentis board for the past year, will be charged with spearheading business strategy and merger & acquisition initiatives.

"Ken's proven ability to grow, acquire and manage profitable enterprise software companies, combined with his intimate understanding of our business, makes him an invaluable addition to the team," Frank said in a statement.

Prior to coming aboard Axentis, Sexton most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at enterprise software application vendor Peregrine Systems Inc.
