Top 100 Firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause has agreed to merge in SF&Co., CPAs and Business Advisors. The combination will expand and enhance the professional services for both firms throughout central Pennsylvania and the Northeast region of the United States.

With the merger, Baker Tilly will strengthen its growing position in the Northeast. The deal is expected to close on Nov. 1, 2015, and SF&Company will operate under the Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP name.

“A merger with SF&Company is another step in the growth of our national footprint and our commitment to provide exceptional services and value for our clients,” Baker Tilly’s CEO-elect Alan Whitman said in a statement. “SF&Company has terrific leadership, a strong reputation and an established track record of success. By combining our two highly complementary organizations and leveraging our talented teams we’ll capitalize on new growth opportunities with current and future clients.”

SF&Company has more than 100 employees and has offices in York, Harrisburg and State College, Pa., where they are able to work with clients in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.

“We are very proud of the 65 year history of our firm," said SF&Company managing shareholder John Cardello. "We also recognize that the next step for SF&Company was to merge with a nationally recognized firm that would enable us to expand services to our clients and opportunities and resources for our team members."
