Bloomberg BNA Jumps into Accounting Research

Legal and regulatory information provider Bloomberg BNA has launched its new Financial Accounting Resource Center to help accounting professionals keep up with changes in accounting standards.

The research platform includes the full text of material from FASB, GASB, the IASB, the American Institute of CPAs, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, as well as analysis on more than 75 topics, explanations of U.S. GAAP, and hundreds of sample disclosures. There are also user-customizable daily news feeds.

"The stakes are high for accounting professionals," said Darren McKewen, group publisher for Tax & Accounting. "The Financial Accounting Resource Center was designed for financial accountants based on research and feedback from financial accountants, so that users can have full confidence in a single, reliable solution to access breaking news, practical approaches to problem solving, and real world examples of how other companies have dealt with similar situations."
