Braver Announces Merger with R.I. Firm

Braver PC announced that it will expand into the Providence, R.I., area thanks to a merger with Prescott Chatellier Fontaine & Wilkinson LLP.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Newton, Mass., Braver will now have a total of four New England locations, including an office in Mansfield, Mass., and a recently opened location in Boston. 

PCFW, which will adopt the Braver name, has expertise in accounting and auditing for non profits, government entities and small, closely held businesses. Fourteen staff members will join Braver, including PCFW's four founding partners  -- James J. Prescott, Peter L. Chatellier, David A. Fontaine and James D. Wilkinson -- all of whom will become shareholders in Braver. Additionally, Debbie Mitchell and Robert Civetti will become principals of Braver. 

Wilkinson will serve as head of the Providence office.
 
Braver employs a total of 180 professionals and provides accounting, wealth management, business strategies and technology solution services.
