CAMICO Appoints Texas CPA to Board

Redwood City, Calif. (Sept. 9, 2003) -- CPA professional liability insurance carrier CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company has named CPA Pat Evans to its board of directors.

Evans, a managing partner of 42-person Sproles Woodard in Fort Worth, Texas, was elected by CAMICO policyholders at the company's annual meeting.

Evans joins CAMICO as its first director from Texas and will sit alongside three other directors from outside of California on the 12-person board. He replaces retiring board director Roland R. Mangiantini, CPA, who is also retiring as chair of CAMICO's underwriting committee.

For the past year, Evans has served as a member of CAMICO's underwriting committee. He is a former board member of DPIC's Professional Liability Group, and he has served as an officer at both the local and state levels of the Texas Society of CPAs.

"Mr. Evans has a thorough understanding of the practice and risk management issues facing today's CPA," said CAMICO President John A. Dodsworth, CPA. "His guidance and counsel will be invaluable to our company."
