CCH Integrates Multinational Corporate Tax Products

CCH has introduced CCH Integrator, which combines the company’s tax research products with other tax compliance products for multinational corporations.

The Web-based set of software provides a centralized system for tax collection, provisioning, research and compliance for both multinational corporations of all sizes and domestic corporations with cumbersome tax processes.

The main components include CCH’s Global Integrator and Global Tax Research Integrator software, combined with the company’s IntelliConnect research service.

“It’s a set of software products and also research products to streamline the tax process,” said

Chris Donie, CCH's director of product management for corporate service.

The company is targeting North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, where the Global Integrator product comes from, when CCH bought a company called CGS from Ernst & Young Australia. “It was built from the very beginning as a solution to a complex problem,” said Donie.

Global Integrator software provides a single system for data collection, analysis and tax reporting globally for both small and large corporations. It offers multi-jurisdictional functionality with multi-GAAP reporting, providing reconciliation from head office GAAP to local GAAP to local tax.

Global Integrator also includes multi-currency and multi-language capabilities and is configurable by the end user to meet individual data collection, calculation and reporting needs of corporations.

Companies only need to enter in their tax data once, and the same set of reconciled numbers will be used for local and head office accounting, reporting, compliance and forecasting.

“You can see a complete picture of GAAP side by side, and see all the accounts, including the ones that are tax-sensitive,” said Becky Stephane, a CCH business analyst for the CorpSystem products.

The Global Integrator system standardizes calculations and schedules with templates that provide consistent reporting formats across countries. It also customizes data collection schedules and questionnaires to suit individual reporting needs, and performs reconciliations of exchange rate differences. Global Integrator also calculates tax positions based on estimates and restructures, and Integrates with general ledgers, local compliance systems, Microsoft Excel and other tax applications. The software also integrates federal, state, provincial and dual tax system calculations. It offers built-in status tracking, audit controls, electronic sign-off, and visibility into who modified what and when. Features include drill-down from the tax footnotes back to the source.

using the CCH IntelliConnect system for any countries where a company does business.
