CCH Small Firm Services is partnering with Versicom Communications on communication services that tax professionals can offer to their clients.
The new offering, known as Toll-Free Tax Infoline PLUS, or TFTI+, will allow tax preparers to offer their clients instant alerts on the status of their tax returns and refunds.
Tax professionals who use CCH SFS’s ATX or TaxWise tax software will be able to set up their clients to receive automatic notifications via email or text message. In addition, clients will be able to call a toll-free phone number and access a Web site where they can check the status of their tax return and refund 24 hours a day.
“The tax preparation market is very competitive, but tax professionals can distinguish themselves by the level of service they deliver,” Versicom vice president Mark Snyder said in a statement. “TFTI+ capitalizes on this idea by allowing preparers to offer an advanced communications service that their clients are sure to appreciate.”
