Deloitte Financial Advisory Services has acquired certain assets of Barrasso Consulting, a firm that specializes in data collection and document review for litigation discovery programs.
The acquisition will allow Deloitte FAS to offer services, including discovery, document review, complex forensic investigations and analyses, and final deliverables. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Diane Barrasso, who founded the Westfield, N.J.-based consultancy in 1989, and approximately 80 members of her staff, will join Deloitte FAS's forensic dispute services practice as part of the deal. They will be integrated into Deloitte FAS as part of a new service line, document review services.
Barrasso will become a principal at Deloitte FAS and national service line leader of the team. Jean Weir, a senior manager with Barrasso, will join as director.
