Deloitte Grows Cloud Computing Practice

Deloitte is expanding its cloud computing services to provide client companies with a broader set of capabilities, including business model development, solution delivery and talent management.

The expansion continues Deloitte's multi-year investment in cloud computing services. Paul Clemmons, a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, has recently taken on the leadership role for the organization’s cloud computing services. He had been leading the firm’s Emerging Solutions unit.

"Cloud computing is providing companies with elastic, scalable and flexible IT capabilities using on-demand provisioning and pay-as-you-go services,” he said in a statement. “These new capabilities enable innovation in business models, speed-to-market and cost efficiencies.”

Deloitte is adding services such as cloud provider business model advisory, operating model development, and ecosystem development, along with advisory, implementation and operational services.

The practice boosts Deloitte’s capabilities in the planning, design and implementation of cloud adoption services for cloud service subscribers. Deloitte’s expanded cloud computing services can also help clients in their efforts to develop new and existing delivery capabilities in Software as a Service, create Platform as a Service custom development and deployment capability, and address cloud-centric data and integration needs.
