Eide Bailly Has Merged in Muckel Anderson to its Practice

Muckel Anderson CPAs of Reno, Nev., has agreed to become a part of Top 100 firm Eide Bailly LLP. The merger will take effect on Nov. 3, 2014.

The new addition will give Eide Bailly a total of 25 offices in 12 states and increase its professional staff to approximately 1,470, which includes 214 partners.

The firm stated that this is the first Nevada location for Eide Bailly, and it will also create the first regional CPA firm in Reno.

“This addition to our firm fits perfectly with our strategic plan to grow our presence west of the Mississippi River and into the Intermountain Region to better serve our clients,” Eide Bailly managing partner and CEO Dave Stende said in a statement. “Muckel Anderson has been a member of our Practicewise group for years, which has allowed us to get to know each other well. They have the same commitment and passion for client service as us, and now, as the first regional CPA firm in Reno, mid-size companies in the region will have access to an expanded array of specialty services, including international tax, cost segregation studies, health care reform consulting and more.”

Butch Anderson, managing partner of Muckel Anderson, will take on the role of partner-in-charge for the office. “I’m excited about how much more we will be able to offer our clients,” Anderson noted. “Eide Bailly’s resources and expertise will give us tremendous depth of service, especially for our clients in the health care, government, non-profit and renewable energy sectors. In addition, becoming part of Eide Bailly will free our partners from having to handle many administrative tasks and give them more time to focus on client service and staff development, essential factors in the success of any CPA firm. Staff will also benefit from expanded career opportunities and top quality training.”
