FEI Forms IFRS Unit

Financial Executives International, a 15,000-member group of CFOs and senior-level financial executives, has formed the Corporate Roundtable on International Financial Reporting, a forum where companies can address issues related to implementing International Financial Reporting Standards.

According to FEI, the CRIFR will help facilitate dialogue on a number of IFRS issues, including implementation transition, systems requirements, training, standards-setting and reporting.

The CRIFR will initially consist of corporate senior executives from such companies as Eli Lilly, Honeywell, McGraw-Hill and Tyco who are charged with IFRS implementation, as well as leaders from business associations.

The unveiling of the CRIFR was announced at FEI's international reporting conference being held here.
