UHY Advisors NY Inc. has opened a new office in Beijing to assist U.S. multinational companies with business operations in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as to advise China-based companies that do business in the U.S. Melanie Chen, managing director of the China Group Division of UHY Advisors NY Inc., will co-manage the new office from New York City with a new manager to be hired in China.

 

FLORIDA

Bisk Education, Tampa, has been approved as a Continuing Education Sponsor by the Office of Professional Responsibility of the Internal Revenue Service to provide IRS-approved continuing education credits for enrolled agents and professional tax preparers.

 

CALIFORNIA

The San Jose office of Ernst & Young LLP and Ernst & Young Luxembourg SA, the Ernst & Young member firm in Luxembourg, have developed "Open Doors," a program designed to educate and support Silicon Valley companies doing business in Luxembourg. The program was announced at a reception this month at the Consulate General of Luxembourg in San Francisco.

 

INDIANA

The Web site development team of Kemper Technology Consulting, Evansville, a division of Kemper CPA Group LLP, won a total of five Addy Awards for outstanding Web site and mixed media advertising design from the American Advertising Federation of Greater Evansville. It won Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for site design, a Silver Award for mixed media advertising, and a Bronze Award for its Kemper Classroom Series campaign. ... Katz, Sapper & Miller was named one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana for the seventh consecutive year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, BizVoice, Inside INdiana Business, the Society for Human Resource Management Indiana State Council, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Best Companies Group.

RubinBrown, St. Louis, received the 2011 Heart and Sole Award from Ronald McDonald House of Charities of Metro St. Louis in recognition of its long-term commitment and generosity to the organization.

GBQ has opened an office in New York. Raymond Ghelardi has joined the firm as a director to head the new office.

 

NORTH CAROLINA
