Gallina has agreed to acquire the Ontario, Calif.-based firm, Mellon Johnson Reardon LLP.

MJR’s staff, and its six partners, will be joining Gallina once the deal is complete on July 1, 2014.

“This move furthers Gallina's vision to be a nationally recognized firm while also creating ever-increasing career opportunities for the talented people of both firms,” Gallina’s managing partner, Larry Taylor, said in a statement. “It also expands Gallina’s audit, tax, and specialty consulting practices while increasing our firm’s presence in Southern California.”

Allan Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group provided counsel to both firms on the merger. “For Gallina, this merger represents their continued desire to become one of the western region's dominant firms and its initial expansion into southern California. ... They allow the entrepreneur to thrive but also provide a lot of the industry and service line expertise that dynamic and growing local firms need to compete,” Koltin noted in a statement.
