Grant Thornton’s Hong Kong firm is expanding by merging in Mabel Chan & Co., a firm founded by the vice president of the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs.

The merger will add more expertise to Grant Thornton Hong Kong in areas such as risk management, tax services, IPO advisory services, forensic accounting and fraud investigations.

Daniel Lin will remain managing partner at GTHK, with Mabel Chan and advisory partner Eugene Ha jointly serving as deputy managing partners. Chan will also become national head of outbound market development for Grant Thornton’s integrated China network.

“I am excited to be a part of the Grant Thornton network and am looking forward to growing with the firm,” she said in a statement.
