Grant Thornton Launches Private Equity Initiative

Grant Thornton LLP announced it will take a new approach in serving private equity firms and their portfolio companies.

Cal Hackeman, a national GT managing partner and the national leader of the new initiative said that the comprehensive approach should enhance the value of services received from Grant Thornton.

Currently, Grant Thornton has relationships with more than 300 private equity firms, providing transaction advisory services and assurance, tax and other services to more than 500 portfolio companies. The initiative will focus on the needs of the private equity firm, allowing the accounting firm to tailor its services around those needs.

“This relationship, point-of-contact approach will increase the value of the services we provide,” said Hackeman, who has 30 years of experience in the field. “We stand ready to assist them at both the portfolio company management team level and at the private equity firm level [with any transaction they chose to] undertake.”

Grant Thornton offers a full range of services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, including assurance, tax, business advisory, due diligence and specialty services.
