Long Island Firms to Merge

Garden City, N.Y.-based Israeloff, Trattner & Co. CPAs PC has merged with its Long Island neighbor, Hempstead, N.Y.-based accounting and tax firm Bloom & Co. LLP.

Financial terms of the deal, which became effective April 1, were not disclosed. The combined firm will continue to operate under the Israeloff Trattner name.

Bloom & Co. has had a presence in the accounting industry for more than 40 years, before firm founder Steven Bloom passed away in January. Five members of the Bloom accounting staff will relocate to the Garden City office by May 1. Israeloff Trattner also maintains an office in Manhattan.

The merger is expected to increase Israeloff Trattner’s annual billings by about $500,000, as well as add government, commercial (in the retail jewelry and legal markets) and individual accounts to the firm’s business.

Israeloff Trattner already offers a range of services, including audit, forensic accounting, professional practice and license valuations, tax planning, estate planning, and a variety of consulting services.
