Cohen, Burger merges with New Haven accountants
Details: Cohen, Burger, Schwartz & Sax LLC has merged with Beers, Hamerman & Co. The combined firm was renamed Beers, Hamerman, Cohen & Burger, PC.
The merged firms will offer a full range of accounting services to individuals, small businesses and corporations. Services include tax preparation and planning, business advising, business valuations, litigation support and forensic accounting; and estate and trust services.
The co-managing partners of the newly merged firm are Edward Burger and David Migani.
Wealth management firm acquires GPS
Details: The independent wealth management firm, Savant Capital Management, has acquired the accounting, tax and payroll firm, Green, Plagge & Shaw. The addition enhances the advisory and tax capabilities already in place at Savant. GPS will operate as a subsidiary of Savant Capital Management.
Framingham firm transitions practice to Abrams Little-Gill Loberfeld
Details: Frank J. Schiappa, transitioned its practice to Abrams Little-Gill Loberfeld PC, of Chestnut Hill.
The established Framingham based practice, has a strong local presence and reputation for providing quality, tailored tax and accounting services. Abrams Little-Gill Loberfeld principals, Kristin Kelley, Vasant Nagda and Ron Loberfeld will spearhead the services transition.
Amboy joins Warmels & Cornstock
Details: Warmels & Comstock PLLC has agreed to merge in Charles Garfield Amboy PC. Chuck Amboy, will become partner at Warmels & Comstock.
Accounting & Consulting Group continues strategic growth
Details: White + Samaniego + Campbell, LLP has merged with Accounting & Consulting Group. The merger increases the ability and expertise in providing governmental audits, adds to our capability in supporting the construction industry and International Taxation issues, and also brings new expertise in the areas of internal audit and providing audit services to the gaming industry.
ACG, which is based in Albuquerque, now has eight offices Alamogordo, Albuquerque, Carlsbad, Clovis, Hobbs, Roswell, NM and Lubbock and El Paso TX all added through mergers and acquisitions. With the merger of White + Samaniego + Campbell, ACG will be growing by two new partners, one director and 16 employees.
Prager Metis adds boutique accounting firm
Details: Prager Metis CPAs LLC has agreed to merge in Polakoff & Michaelson, a boutique accounting firm based in New York City, which focuses on Family Office Service. The combined firms will offer a wider breadth of services to family office entities and high-net worth individuals as well as accounting services. The merger is effective immediately.
Kroening, Stangel, Swetlik & Zinkel to join Schenck SC
Details: Schenck SC has entered into an agreement to merge in the Manitowoc-based Kroening, Stangel, Swetlik & Zinkel LLP. Kroening, Stangel, Swetlik & Zinkel provide accounting and tax services to family-owned and privately held businesses as well as non-profit organizations throughout Manitowoc and the surrounding area. The transaction is expected to close in May 2015. The employees of Kroening, Stangel, Swetlik & Zinkel will continue at their present location through April, and will move to Schenck’s offices at 100 Maritime Drive in Manitowoc in May.
