Miami Names McGladrey as Auditor

The city of Miami named McGladrey & Pullen as its external auditor.

The firm will audit the city's fiscal year that ended on Sept. 30, 2007. City officials reportedly awarded the engagement to McGladrey & Pullen based on the qualifications and depth of experience of the firm's public sector practice.

McGladrey & Pullen has an extensive public sector client base. The firm currently provides services to more than 2,700 public sector clients around the country, including over 600 governmental entities.

"We are honored to have the opportunity to deliver services that will hopefully make the city stronger by providing an objective review of their operations and recommendations for improvement," said Donnovan Maginley, McGladrey's audit engagement director, in a statement.
