Business technology solutions provider Net@Work has acquired Apptech Inc., a Cheshire, Conn.-based consulting firm specializing in Sage Pro ERP sales and support.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Net@Work’s co-president Edward Solomon said that his company will maintain Apptech’s location in Connecticut. Apptech co-founders Rod Quenneville and Michael Healy will serve as senior development specialist and senior sales consultant, respectively.

“The reason we’re doing the acquisitions is to grow our company and offer additional services for the companies we acquire,” Solomon told WebCPA. “We’re going to continue to do more acquisitions [with those] who are looking to be a part of a bigger team or change the way they are doing their business.”

Though Apptech specialized in Sage’s Pro ERP series (formerly SBT/Accpac Pro Series), Solomon said that the acquisition will boost the Sage product line in the Connecticut area, offering more services for Sage MAS 90, Sage MAS 200 and Sage MAS 500 users.

“We want to penetrate that Connecticut space with other products and services, not only Accpac,” Solomon said. “It’s not just an Accpac deal, it’s really Sage and IT-related services in that space.”

In March, Net@Work acquired Westchester, N.Y.-based Spitz Consulting Systems, a Sage ACT! reseller and consultant.
