Sae Evans serves in the Healthcare Division of the Birmingham office. Jeff Helms serves in Warren Averett Asset Management’s Pensacola office, and is a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee. Phillip Rivers leads our new Mobile office with more than 13 years of accounting experience in a wide range of industries including real estate, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and transportation. Mario Fulgieri and Blake Stevens has joined the Greenwich, Conn. office of EY’s Global Compliance & Reporting practice focused on Real Estate. Fulgieri had been a principal with tax firm Frydland Stevens, LLC, where he worked since 2008. Previously, he had provided tax counsel at several law firms, including White & Case and Farrell Fritz. Fulgieri began his tax career with Deloitte in 1996. Stevens was one of the founding partners of Frydland Stevens in 2006. Prior to that role, he started up the tax practice for the Dallas office of Whitley Penn.
Jordon Rosen, who is a director at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, was named 2015 President of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils by his peers in the estate planning community.

Frank Jakosz has been named partner-in-charge of Sikich LLP’s not-for-profit services practice. The AICPA recently appointed Jakosz, who has over 42 years of public accounting experience, to its inaugural Not-For-Profit Advisory Council. In his new role at Sikich, Jakosz will set the strategy for the practice, oversee growth and talent development, work to expand the service offerings and ensure the team helps its diverse group of not-for-profit clients fulfill their missions. Chicago-based BDO USA appointed several to partnership throughout the firm's offices. Katie Ferris and Stephen Maniaci in the firm's Grand Rapids, Michigan office and Jennifer Core of the firm's Woodbridge, New Jersey office have each been admitted to the firm partnership. Billy Moore will take over the role of chief financial officer at Grant Thornton LLP, starting Aug. 1, 2015. He will succeed Russ Wieman upon his retirement from the firm. In his new role, Moore will be responsible for the finance and accounting operations of the firm. He has significant experience with financial reporting, strategic planning and budgeting, working capital and supply chain management, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, treasury and credit management, tax planning and oversight of information systems and internal audit functions. Bob McDonald has joined Andersen Tax as a managing director in the Alternative Investment Funds Practice in the Chicago office. Prior to joining Andersen Tax, McDonald was with KPMG for 21 years, where he was a partner in the Federal Income Tax Group and as the Midwest Area Tax Services Leader for the real estate, construction, and the hospitality industries. Brett Mathieson has been promoted to a partner at Mathieson, Moyski, Austin & Co. David Simon has been named member at Weltman Bernfield. Iordan Peev joins the International Tax Services of EY Chicago from PwC where he was an International Tax Director in the Global Structuring Group. He has worked at Pwc for eight years, preceded by more than two years at Jenner & Block’s Tax Group. Peev began his career at EY in St. Louis where he worked from 2001 to 2004.

Spikes graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration. His career in the restaurant industry brought him to Mize Houser’s Quick Service Restaurant division originally in 2008 and again in 2012.

Barry joined BlumShapiro in 2011 after BlumShapiro merged with Barry’s former employer, Boston-based accounting firm Needel, Welch & Stone PC. In his article, "Nevada Senate Bill 350,” Barr discusses two new business entities authorized under Nevada law in 2009, Restricted LLCs and Restricted Partnerships. These restricted entities can prohibit all distributions to owner/members for up to ten years. Barr explains how such restrictions can substantially lower the value of restricted entity ownership interests, and the impact of such lower values on wealth transfer and estate/gift planning. NYSSCPA past president, David Moynihan from 2009-2010, and an audit partner in The Bonadio Group's Syracuse office, passed away after a nearly year-long battle with cancer. He was 59 years old. Jaime Eichen, former Chief Accountant for the Division of Investment Management at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, has rejoined EY as a partner in the Professional Practice Group with a focus on the Wealth and Asset Management sector. Robert Caulfield has been named president and CEO of Jefferson’s Ferry, Long Island’s first not for profit continuing care retirement community. ... Andrea Hagen has been named director of The Bonadio Group’s Receivable Solutions division. Hagen will manage and lead a veteran team of consultants and revenue cycle experts with the experience to properly assist health care providers identify and solve revenue cycle issues. Daniel Visich has joined the New York office of BDO Consulting as a director. Visich will work in the firm’s Tangible Asset Valuation practice with a focus on Fixed Assets. Michael Sacco was promoted to managing director at CBIZ MHM in New York. Kevin Relf has joined Dannible & McKee as a tax manager in the firm’s tax department. William Cotes has joined Satty, Levine & Ciacco as manager. In this role, William will work with the firm’s audit and review team performing audits, reviews and compilations of closely held businesses and not-for-profit entities, as well as audits of other governmental entities. Thomas Johnson joined the firm as junior accountant. Lumsden & McCormick’s Jill Johnson, has been awarded with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners credential. Christopher Recor has joined Grant Thornton LLP as a managing director and leader of its Financial Services Advisory Anti-Money Laundering practice, based in New York.
John Fleischer has begun his five year term as president and CEO at HW&Co. He succeeds Stephen Stanisa. Fleischer has been with the firm since its inception as a member of the Accounting & Auditing Group, as well as the HW Healthcare advisors. He is the chairman of the firm’s Board of Directors, a member of the firm Management Committee and was previously the Director of Human Resources. His concentrations are in accounting and consulting to healthcare providers, including skilled nursing facilities and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Susan Kornatowski has joined Walthall CPA’s Cleveland office. She earned her juris doctorate and her Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University and is currently pursuing a degree in accounting from Cleveland State University. Cynthia Polovich has joined the firm as a supervisor in the Wooster office. She previously worked for both Cedar Fair and Meaden & Moore as a tax accountant, concentrating on corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns, extensions, and estimates. Polovich graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting.

Pablo Hymovitz returns to EY in Business Tax Services in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He previously worked with EY from 2005 to 2008. Most recently, Hymovitz was a capital member of the law firm L-pez Sánchez Pirillo & Hymovitz LLC. He had been Assistant Secretary for the Internal Revenue Area of the Puerto Rico Department of the Treasury from 2009 - 2011. He began his legal career with Quiñones & Sánchez, PSC as an attorney specializing in the areas of tax and commercial litigation.
Paul Berryhill has been promoted to tax partner at Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck. Berryhill previously was a senior manager in the firm’s tax department.

Charles Price, a decorated FBI Agent and interviewing and interrogation expert, has been appointed managing director at MorganFranklin Consulting. Price joins the firm’s growing Corporate Investigation & Dispute Solutions practice, bringing more than 28 years of FBI experience conducting successful investigations of significant white-collar crimes. John Jobe has joined Cherry Bekaert as partner. Previously an audit senior manager at a Big Four firm, Jobe’s new role will be based in Cherry Bekaert’s headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
