Warren Averett has promoted several to members throughout the firm. New members include:Will Aderholt serves in the Tax Division of the Birmingham office. With more than nine years of experience, Aderholt specializes in tax planning and consulting for closely-held and private-equity owned businesses. He has extensive experience serving clients in construction, manufacturing and distribution, healthcare and retail industries. Jason Asbury serves as president of Warren Averett Technology Group, and has more than 15 years of experience providing IT consulting services to clients in industries including banking, insurance, education and law. Asbury specializes in IT consulting for the healthcare industry. This experience includes the implementation and management of multiple patient care systems and associated medical management. Maddox Casey serves in the Healthcare Division of the Birmingham office. CALIFORNIA

Armanino has hired Grant Lam, Scott Mangelson, Dean Quiambao and Scott Schimberg as firm partners. … Danielle Witten has been named partner at Vicenti, Lloyd & Stutzman LLP. Witten has been with the firm for nearly 14 years and specializes in audit, tax, controllership services and business consulting. In her role as partner, Witten will help grow the auto dealership and restaurant markets for the firm as well as her other areas of expertise.

CONNECTICUT

Mario Fulgieri and Blake Stevens has joined the Greenwich, Conn. office of EY’s Global Compliance & Reporting practice focused on Real Estate. Fulgieri had been a principal with tax firm Frydland Stevens, LLC, where he worked since 2008. Previously, he had provided tax counsel at several law firms, including White & Case and Farrell Fritz. Fulgieri began his tax career with Deloitte in 1996. Stevens was one of the founding partners of Frydland Stevens in 2006. Prior to that role, he started up the tax practice for the Dallas office of Whitley Penn.

DELAWARE

Jordon Rosen, who is a director at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, was named 2015 President of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils by his peers in the estate planning community.

He will succeed Russ Wieman upon his retirement from the firm. In his new role, Moore will be responsible for the finance and accounting operations of the firm. Spikes graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration. MISSOURI

In his article, "Nevada Senate Bill 350,” Barr discusses two new business entities authorized under Nevada law in 2009, Restricted LLCs and Restricted Partnerships. These restricted entities can prohibit all distributions to owner/members for up to ten years. Barr explains how such restrictions can substantially lower the value of restricted entity ownership interests, and the impact of such lower values on wealth transfer and estate/gift planning. OHIO

John Fleischer has begun his five year term as president and CEO at HW&Co. He succeeds Stephen Stanisa. Fleischer has been with the firm since its inception as a member of the Accounting & Auditing Group, as well as the HW Healthcare advisors. He is the chairman of the firm’s Board of Directors, a member of the firm Management Committee and was previously the Director of Human Resources. His concentrations are in accounting and consulting to healthcare providers, including skilled nursing facilities and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. … Susan Kornatowski has joined Walthall CPA’s Cleveland office. She earned her juris doctorate and her Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University and is currently pursuing a degree in accounting from Cleveland State University. Cynthia Polovich has joined the firm as a supervisor in the Wooster office. She previously worked for both Cedar Fair and Meaden & Moore as a tax accountant, concentrating on corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns, extensions, and estimates. Pablo Hymovitz returns to EY in Business Tax Services in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He previously worked with EY from 2005 to 2008. Most recently, Hymovitz was a capital member of the law firm L-pez Sánchez Pirillo & Hymovitz LLC. He had been Assistant Secretary for the Internal Revenue Area of the Puerto Rico Department of the Treasury from 2009 - 2011. He began his legal career with Quiñones & Sánchez, PSC as an attorney specializing in the areas of tax and commercial litigation.
