PKF O’Connor Davies merges in Judelson, Giordano and Siegel

PKF O’Connor Davies, a Top 30 Firm based in New York, has added Judelson, Giordano and Siegel CPA PC, a firm with offices in Middletown and Poughkeepsie, New York, expanding PKFOD’s presence in the Greater Hudson Valley.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but JGS’s annual revenue is approximately $7 million. The firm employs 40 employees and six partners who will remain in their current offices in Middletown and Poughkeepsie. PKFOD ranked No. 27 on Accounting Today’s 2021 list of the Top 100 Firms. After recent mergers, the firm will now earn $300 million in annual revenue and have more than 150 partners and over 1,400 professionals.

JGS is an accounting and business consulting firm that has been offering financial, tax and management consulting services for 90 years to clients ranging from local businesses to publicly traded corporations.

“JGS has long established itself as a leader in the Hudson Valley, and its commitment to forging collaborative, value-driven partnerships with clients aligns extremely well with the firm’s approach,” said PKF O’Connor Davies executive chairman Kevin Keane in a statement Thursday. “JGS shares our view that clients require nimble, personalized solutions to remain competitive in today’s complex business climate. The addition of JGS expands the firm’s team of problem-solvers and enhances our collective ability to address our clients’ evolving needs.”

JGS offers various accounting, tax and consulting services to clients including beer distributors, health care providers, real estate developers, attorneys and manufacturers. It specializes in trust and estate planning and administration, business valuation, forensic accounting and litigation support, succession planning, employee benefit plan audits, and mergers and acquisitions.

“PKF O’Connor Davies is known throughout the industry for its culture of innovation, teamwork and expertise, and we’ve always ensured those same values remain at the core of our operations,” said JGS managing partner Jason Giordano in a statement. “By joining forces with the PKF O’Connor Davies team, our clients will have access to enhanced service and support that accelerate and maximize their growth efforts.”

The merger builds on the PKF O’Connor Davies 2015 acquisition of Stanley Marks & Co, and its 2018 acquisition of Goldstein, Karlewicz and Goldstein, which were both located in the Greater Hudson Valley. More recently, PKFOD expanded out of state earlier this month by adding Simon, Tapper, Edelman & Wilner, a firm in Hackensack, New Jersey. In December, PKFOD acquired another New Jersey firm, LB Goodman & Co., in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. In November, it added DGC LLP (formerly DiCicco, Gulman & Co.), an accounting, tax and advisory firm based in Boston.
