PwC Rolls Out IFRS Toolkit

In preparation for the eventual transition to International Financial Reporting Standards, Big Four firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has launched a suite of educational products and services to help accounting students learn IFRS fundamentals.

The program, titled “IFRS Ready,” includes a video that explains IFRS, interactive financial statements that detail the differences between U.S. GAAP and IFRS treatments, and even a “fictional” PwC staff member on an IFRS engagement.

For accounting professors, PwC’s program provides slides, speaker notes and questions on IFRS topics that can be integrated into both introductory and intermediate accounting classes.

The firm said that it would make the materials available to faculty across the country, including those at community colleges.
