Squar Milner expands again in San Francisco

In a move that is expected to deepen its expertise in estate and trust planning, Top 100 Firm Squar Milner LLP announced that it will add the accounting practice of the Offices of Arnold H. Zippel in San Francisco, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

The merger is expected to add $1 million in revenue to Squar Milner, which ranked No. 41 on the 2019 Accounting Today list of the Top 100 Firms, with $118 million in revenue.

Only the accounting practice will be joining Squar Milner; Arnold Zippel’s legal practice will operate separately.

“After our considerable growth in San Francisco in 2018, we are excited to continue building out our San Francisco office,” Squar Milner managing partner Steve Milner said in a statement. “We are pleased to have Arnold join the Squar Milner team. He has long demonstrated a deep expertise in estate and trust planning for high-net-worth individuals. We are thrilled to have someone of his caliber join the Squar Milner ranks.”

Zippel’s accounting practice prepares corporate, fiduciary, partnership and individual returns.

This is the fourth merger for Squar Milner in the San Francisco area in the past two years: In February 2019, it merged in Louie & Wong; in January, it merged in Boas & Boas; and in January 2018, it merged in DZH Phillips.
