TaxACT Releases 2014 Tax Prep Tools

Tax prep and filing vendor TaxACT has released its 2014 federal software for 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120 and 1041 returns.

All TaxACT 2014 Preparer's Editions offer tools for organization, year-end tax planning and return preparation. 2013 returns prepared by TaxACT and other professional solutions can be imported in a matter of a few clicks. TaxACT also imports investment, trial balance and Schedule K-1 data, and offers quick entry for popular tax forms, such as Forms 1099 and W-2.

TaxACT's office management tools include Client Manager, a centralized location for managing all client information and returns, as well as customizable invoices. To help preparers obtain all the necessary information, TaxACT's personalized data organizers can be given to clients, with 2013 data next to spaces for 2014 information.

TaxACT Enterprise Editions offers network sharing for multiple users in one office, Appointment Manager, Document Manager for organizing and saving digital documents, and online data backup on TaxACT's secure servers.

TaxACT 2014 is updated with the latest tax laws, including Affordable Care Act changes. Preparers can enter client data directly into forms or use the Q&A interview to estimate federal and state taxes, and create year-end savings strategies for each client.

To assist clients who have purchased or plan to purchase health insurance from government-sponsored marketplaces, TaxACT 2014 includes ACA-related tax forms and guidance, plus a new reference guide for the new ACA tax forms and individual shared responsibility payment.

Federal Editions will be updated with any last-minute tax law changes, final IRS forms and e-file in early January. Preparer's State Editions and e-filing will also be released at that time.
TaxACT also offers federal and state software and e-filing for Form 1041 - Estates and Trusts returns, which features the same tools in all TaxACT Preparer's Editions.

TaxACT 2014 Preparer's Federal Editions are $129.99 each and Preparer's Enterprise Editions are $199.99 each. State Editions are $24.99 each per edition and $99.99 per All-States Edition.
