Thomson Offers Small Firms Tax Research

Thomson Tax & Accounting released an online tax research service, QuickFinder Tax Manager, aimed at sole practitioners and small accounting firms.

The service is designed to provide basic, affordable tax research for smaller firms that don't have the resources to invest in staff training. It includes a search tool called Quickfinder Bridge-It that works with Thomson's 1040 and Small Business Quickfinder print handbooks to provide a more detailed analysis of the topics in the handbooks online.

A subscription to the service includes copies of the handbooks, monthly analysis of common tax topics, tax planning and practice guides, more than 100 calculators, public domain materials such as IRS rulings, an online monthly newsletter, discounted continuing professional education credits and more.
