Thomson Reuters Offers Interactive Decision Tools

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has introduced Interactive Decision Tools for its Checkpoint research service to help tax, accounting and audit professionals solve challenging issues.

The new application uses an interview format to guide Checkpoint subscribers through the decision-making process. The embedded calculations and editorial guidance help users answer questions during the interviews. Input fields are available for users to document their responses. Summaries capture all the questions, answers and user notes for later review.

The tools integrate with relevant content on Checkpoint, including primary source materials, expert analyses and guidance under Thomson Reuters’ RIA, PPC and WG&L brands. The tools also include document assembly features that can generate a client letter, memo, tax return attachment and other documents in Microsoft Word format to communicate the results.
