Weaver Appoints Two Industry Practice Leaders

Dale Jensen has been appointed partner-in-charge of Weaver’s oil and gas industry practice. Brad Jay has been tapped as partner-in-charge of the firm’s manufacturing, distribution and retail industry practice.

“We are proud to name Dale and Brad, who concentrate in their defined industries, as leaders of these industry practices,” Weaver’s managing partner and CEO Tommy Lawler said in a statement. “We believe that the leadership and industry experience Dale and Brad bring will help drive the firm’s growth in these industries to the next level.”

[IMGCAP(1)] Jensen, who works in the Dallas office as an assurance partner, has more than 15 years of experience in public accounting. He heads Weaver’s oil and gas industry practice and public company audit practice. As the leader of the firm’s oil and gas practice, Jensen remains on the forefront of industry regulations and changes. He has experience providing assurance services within the industry, with a specific focus on the upstream and midstream sectors, which allows him to provide high-quality, comprehensive assurance and consulting services to energy companies.

Jensen is a member of the Dallas Council of Petroleum Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, serves on the energy advisory board for the Professional Development Institute and is a committee member for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants National Oil and Gas Conference.

Jensen graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Southern Arkansas University.

[IMGCAP(2)] Jay, who works out of the Fort Worth office, has nearly 20 years of public accounting experience and heads Weaver’s manufacturing, distribution and retail industry practice. With a focus on financial reporting, auditing and review of financial statements, and providing consulting services, Jay is responsible for overall growth and strategy for this industry.

Jay has experience working with manufacturers, wholesalers, public corporations, as well as government and nonprofit entities. Jay is an active local member of AICPA and TSCPA, in addition to several leadership roles with community and civic organizations.

Jay earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Abilene Christian University.
