Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting has signed an agreement to buy TeamMate from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The audit productivity software serves corporate internal audit departments and government agencies in 96 countries, with a user base of 56,000 auditors.
Wolters Kluwer plans to integrate the software into its CCH business. The software includes TeamMate EWP, an electronic workpaper system; TeamCentral for audit issues tracking; TeamRisk, a risk assessment tool; TeamSchedule for advanced scheduling; and TeamMate TEC for time and expense tracking.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the next 30 to 60 days. At that time, approximately 40 PwC employees will move over to Wolters Kluwer.
