The basic hurdle for any list-making and note-taking apps and systems is that they have to take less time and effort than simply remembering everything you have to do by brute mental force. Most don't pass that hurdle; a few do, and then a very, very few go beyond simply making things easier to actually making them better.
Workflowy is one of those few.
It takes notes and makes list as you'd hope an app of its kind would, and then adds all kinds of extras that turn it into an expandable, collapsible, zoomable, nestable second brain, where you can store ideas and information and then quickly and easily retrieve them.
Available for iOS and Android devices, it allows syncing between your phone, your tablet and your computer. It also lets you search for text, and collaborate with others.
