According to a new article by Rwandan English daily The New Times, Rwanda is in dire need of CPAs. An estimated 5,000 professionals are needed in the country, as only some 300 professionals are currently registered in the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR).

EY announced on Friday new Corporate Responsibility Sabbatical programs, effective immediately, that will enable EY Americas professionals to "strengthen global and local communities through longer volunteer placements where they can learn new business skills, team across borders, or even experience a new culture," per a statement.

William "Bill" Sharkey recently received the College Mentors for Kids' 2016 College Mentor of the Year in the Accounting, Legal & Finance category, the Indiana CPA Society announced this week.
