Firms on the move: UHY opens Long Island office

AICPA announces 36 Leadership Academy grads and grants 25 fellowships to minority students; RKL and Baker Tilly named Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania; and more CPA news.

NEW YORK

UHY Advisors opened a new office (pictured) on Long Island, located at 58 South Service Road, Suite 115, in Melville.

The American Institute of CPAs, New York, announced the 36 graduates of the 2019 AICPA Leadership Academy. (Read the full story.) The AICPA also granted fellowships to 25 minority doctoral students as part of the Minority Doctoral Fellowship program. (Read the full story.)

Marks Paneth, New York, will be honored by the Human Services Council of New York at its 2019 Changemakers of New York Gala Dec. 10, recognizing leaders and organizations that have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to supporting New York nonprofits.

CohnReznick, New York, was named Best Fund Accounting Firm in the Private Equity Wire USA Awards 2019, presented at the organization’s annual ceremony in New York on Sept. 25.

PENNSYLVANIA

Scott McDonald

RKL, Lancaster, was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania for the third consecutive year.

Baker Tilly Virchow Krause (pictured), Lancaster, was also recognized as a Best Place to Work for the fourth consecutive year by the Best Places to Work in PA awards program.
