The Association for Accounting Marketing's Nominating Committee is asking AAM members to apply for its 2022-2023 board of directors.
Successful board nominees will serve a two-year term, beginning July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024.
Both self-nominations and nominations of others are welcome. The Nominating Committee will present the new 2022-2023 AAM board of directors slate in March for AAM membership to vote upon.
AAM board members must:
- Demonstrate commitment to the vision and mission of the organization;
- Make decisions in the best interests of members;
- Be an AAM member in good standing for a minimum of three years;
- Have professional work experience with an understanding of business and financial matters;
- Have two years of volunteer experience serving on an AAM committee (does not have to be consecutive) and/or participated in an AAM Circle;
- Be available to participate in monthly board meeting calls, the annual planning retreat, conferences and any assigned committees;
- Commit to the time required to discharge board duties outside of the board calls;
- Be willing to deal directly with difficult issues, as needed; and,
- Have not served on the board during the prior two terms.
