While it's true that the vast majority of us will never need to charter a private jet, it's nice to know that it's incredibly easy to do, thanks to the new JetSmarter app.
Billed as the "Uber & Expedia" of the jet charter world, JetSmarter lets you book jets in the U.S. and around the world by searching through thousands of empty trip legs. It also offers fixed hourly rates in the U.S., and guaranteed pricing for jets worldwide, as well as discounts and other benefits for members.
It's available for both Apple and Android devices for free. The jets, however, are another matter. If anyone has an app that will make us much wealthier than we currently are, so we can justify chartering a private jet, please let us know.
