Prager Metis CPAs, a Top 75 Firm based in New York, has merged in Goldsmith Molis & Gray, expanding the firm's footprint in North Carolina, effective Jan. 1.
The namesakes of GM&G — Crystal Goldsmith, Joe Molis and Allen Gray — have joined Prager Metis as partners, while George Gabler and Steven Foster have joined as principals. They and the rest of their 40-person team will be working out of their current offices in Asheville and Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Prager Metis ranked No. 52 on Accounting Today's 2023 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $120 million in annual revenue. The firm has approximately 90 partners and 600 employees.

GM&G's origins date back over 60 years. It provides tax, accounting, auditing, and business advisory solutions to its clients, including private companies and entrepreneurs in various industries.
