As part of the deal, Frank & Co. is bringing over 20 staff members, including four partners and principals. Robert Frank, Marnette Myers and Matthew Frank will join Prager Metis as partners, along with Scott Davis as principal, remaining at their offices in McLean. Prager Metis has over 500 team members and 85 partners and principals prior to the combination. With the addition of the four from Frank & Co., Prager Metis will have 89 partners and principals.

“We have been looking for a CPA firm in the D.C. Metro area that shares our values and standards of proactive service so that we can better serve our clients and expand our footprint into the region,” said Lori Roth, managing partner of the Northeast Region for Prager Metis, in a statement. “We chose to combine with Frank & Co. due to their reputation for excellent client service.”

Earlier this year, Prager Metis extended its footprint in Florida and New Jersey by merging in Beck, Villata & Co. Last November, Prager Metis merged in E. Martin Davidoff & Associates, a prominent tax firm in New Jersey. In October, it expanded on Long Island by combining with S.A Koenig & Associates CPAs in Syosset, New York. In January of last year, it expanded in California by merging in Geibelson, Young & Company in Woodland Hills.

Frank & Co. dates back more than four decades and offers audit, tax, and advisory services to individuals, small and midsize businesses, government contractors, not-for-profit organizations and real estate entities. “Prager Metis has a level of expertise and a growing reputation that is unique for an accounting firm of its size,” stated Robert Frank. “Their firm culture and desire to expand their presence into the metropolitan DC area fit so well with our background and expertise that we feel Prager Metis is not only a perfect fit for our firm but for our clients as well.”

Prager Metis has posted a video on YouTube about the merger.
