Last week I had the pleasure of taking four interns from my office on a “field trip” to Manhattan. I also included a senior accountant who started here as an intern.

The International Federation of Accountants is changing the oversight and priorities of its International Accounting Education Standards Board, which sets standards for education and professional development of accountants.

The bill, which was introduced by a Texas CPA, would also protect members and their staff.

The Top 100 Firm invited accounting recruits to meet with senior staff members, as well as help a local charity.

The National Society of Accountants and its Scholarship Foundation highlighted 25 college students across the country pursuing accounting careers.

Over 100 minority college students graduated from this year's program, aimed at diversifying the profession and helping candidates succeed at obtaining the CPA license.

The organization's Educational Foundation recognized 27 accounting students for the 2018-19 academic year.

The education provider offers courses about the complexities of accounting and taxation of digital currencies such as bitcoin and ethereum.
