Sage Teams with Ingenico on Payments for SMBs

Sage Payment Solutions, the payments division of Sage North America, and payment technology developer Ingenico have partnered to bring to market an integrated payments offering for small and midsized businesses.

Through the partnership, Sage customers will be able to use Ingenico’s credit card terminals with Sage Exchange — Sage’s secure payment system — plus data integration and two-way communication. The devices are currently being tested by several Sage customers and will be generally available later this year.

Ingenico will offer Sage users its latest line of payment hardware, including Ethernet and wireless terminals and keypads equipped with Telium 2 technology. Ingenico will also integrate Incendo Online, its Web-based application, with Sage Exchange to give businesses secure, centralized control of their Ingenico payment devices, including access to usability enhancements and security updates.

Sage Exchange will allow businesses and organizations to accept all forms and methods of payment, including credit and debit cards, gift and loyalty cards, electronic bank accounts, paper checks and e-checks. It includes electronic check conversion and integration with Sage business management software products and third-party business software and services.

“Ingenico’s Web-enabled technology will allow businesses and organizations to securely capture data that integrates into Sage Exchange,” said Sage Payment Solutions president Greg Hammermaster.”
