Power issues at the Intacct Advantage 2010 partner conference in Burlingame, Calif., concerned attendees and Intacct employees as the venue’s host — the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport — was without power for about 12 hours on Sunday and at the beginning of the conference launch reception on Monday.

Attendees at the tented event began drinking and networking in the dark for at least an hour until power was restored, apparently the fault of a transformer part which is still in need of repair or replacement, according to hotel staff. Power has remained on since early Monday evening, thanks in large part to Caterpillar equipment.

Attendees at pre-conference workshops on Sunday also shared a venue with a tattoo convention at the hotel, which was unable to continue after the power outage caused attendees at that event to decide to check out early.
